A-HAH-DA-A-CHA

A-HAH-DA-A-CHA
...is theNavajo Code talker word for transportation, and a good word to symbolize this blog. I am going to take a historical, relevant, reverent, and irreverent look at our transportation code...

The goal? Know the past so I can imagine the brilliant future of transportation... and help make it happen.

About me and why you should follow me on my discoveries: I own a transportation company and a non-profit rural alternatively fueled shuttle. I know that transportation should be better.

Hang out with me. This is a simple wheel to world wide systems investigation.

I will skip from the ancient Phoenician traders to our un-sung heroes of ultra modern invention, like Burt Rutan, the engineer of the first private space craft that sparked Virgin Galactic space tourism.

I'll peruse through the garages of nerds and grease monkeys, seeking DIY electric motorcycles, odd planes, and cool retro custom rides. I'll investigate massive shipping tycoons and highlight the impaired moving independently.

I will ponder think tanks and high tech research centers. I'll look for clues about why cities are doing what they are doing. I might even develop a database of helpful resources.

I'll post photos and few links ( unless another site blows me away or I think you might think I am making something up). I will give you an honest account or journal of my experience that causes the blog journey.

I will explore some policy that is shaping today ( like carbon taxes) and cultures ( like steam punk -scooter gangs and South American bus drivers) that give transportation life.

This is something that could take years and years and years and years and no more than 4 years to journal.

This blog it is all about the JOURNEY. Queue the retro 80's band music... time to geek out and take a ride.
